Project

Cambria LA Live – Hotel + Restaurant

Development of an existing 14,156 SQFT surface parking lot near LA Live in Downtown Los Angeles at the corner of Georgia Street and James M Wood Blvd. Design and construction of new 18 story (concrete construction) 247-key Cambria Hotel totaling roughly 172,975 SQFT, including a partial utility basement.  Guests enter via a ground level porte cochere and are greeted by valet parking operators, who utilize a vehicular lift to store 51 cars on the 2nd and 3rd levels. The ground level includes a 2,300 SQFT restaurant and expanded elevator lobby for access to the hotel.  The 4th floor serves as the main lobby for the hotel with a formal reception and lounge, market, meeting rooms, conference center and fitness center.  Levels 5 to 17 contain 247 rooms, with sweeping city and Hollywood Hills views.  The expansive rooftop deck has been designed to maximize outdoor entertaining and lounge.  A rooftop pool and bar/restaurant serve as amenities for hotel guests and are available as event space for lease. The project has been designed to maximize visibility from the adjacent freeway while blending harmoniously with the downtown.  Designed as one of the few projects in downtown without a helipad, the building can be identified at a distance by its steep rise in building massing, reduced to a sharp point at its highest corner.  Drivers along the 110 Freeway, the main artery through downtown Los Angeles, will see not only the hotel, but the signage proposed as part of its façade. The project will start construction in quarter 4 2018 and is planning for completion in quarter 3 2020.
